Since May...?

Yes, I suck at updating.  Yay! I'm now officially a Registered Nurse who is unfortunately still looking for a job after applying to over 40 places now in 3 months in 13 states. Apparently being a nurse, and being a new nurse is a COMPLETELY different thing!!! It hasn't been that bad though, As of today I still live in Cedar and that means I get to hang out with my best friends Mindy and Cyann a lot.  We've been camping a few times, swimming, got MAJOR sunburned, played in st George, barbecued, and watched marathon episodes of LOST and Greys Anatomy.  I realize that it is time for a change so I'm moving to Salt Lake this week, sad day, but happens.

I made these hair clips out of soda cans

 And I made this

With day of pioneer!!!

growing up

I graduated! never thought this day would come.  Next you'd probably ask me what my plans are... to be a nurse of course! And that's all.  I don't care where I live, don't care where I work, I just want a job, because in a year or two I will be able to get any job I ever could have wanted.  You'd think I could just get my dream job right off, and employers would be calling me, begging me to work for them.  I don't understand it either.  Apparently most nursing schools only offer under 100 hours of clinical work.  SUU? well more than 600 hours.  I feel ready, really.  Now if only everyone else knew that.  I pretty much either will get a job in a nursing home, or be accepted into a nursing residency program where it's like fourth level precepting all over again and I have to sign away 2 years of my life after that and work for them.  I mean who do they think they are really? I am so frustrated with all these ridiculous hoops that I need to jump through.

So what's next is that I take the NCLEX which is a test that determines if the last 5 years I spent in school was worth it or not.  If I pass, I can add two letters to the end of my name, "RN", if I don't well, I'll probably add 3 letters, "R.I.P."  Yep it's do it or die basically.  Talk about pressure.  Now if only I can sign up to take it.  I've already paid 200 dollars to the testing company, Pearson Vue, gave them all my information, gotten fingerprinted, backround checked, paid 100 dollars to Utah Department of Proffessional Licensing (DOPL), the only thing left is for my school to send my official transcript to DOPL and then DOPL has to tell Pearson Vue that I am eligible to sign up, then Pearson Vue e-mails me, then I check my e-mail a million trillion times, even in my sleep so that I can immediately sign up before it becomes so full that the earliest I can test is in August, after I've forgotten everything I've learned.

In other news,
Ramona and Beezus is so cute! I cried!
Love my summer institute class, Pearl of Great Price, and my teacher Bro Lefevre
I have the bestest best friends in the whole world
Love camping! Hate sunburn, hate cancer, love tan to follow,

And something for everyone to think about:

"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life.  When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.  I wrote down "happy".  They told me I didn't understand the assignment.  I told them they didn't understand life."--John Lennon

Something you never get compliments on

my ears, my feet, or my knuckles.

what kind of question is this?

Something people seem to compliment you on the most.

How young I look.  Although I don't think it is so much a compliment, rather a way to cover up for their wrongness.  The other day I went to the temple and was mistaken for someone who is 14, FOURTEEN people!!! I mean, I guess it will be good when I'm older.  Maybe when I am 40 people will finally think I've hit puberty or something.  Welcome to the story of my life.

Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know

pretty much... no one I think.
