I currently own 34, that's right 34 chapsticks in my possession at this very moment. Ever scince first grade when I went do the doctor and it was declared that I had insanely dry lips, and prescribed a special chapstick, I have kept a chapstick in my pocket with me at all times every single day since then, for 14 years, over 5000 days, or 70% of my life. Considering I go through an average of about 1 tube a week, throughout time, I've gone through at the very least 750 tubes over the years, and I'm pretty sure about half of the ones I've had have made it through the washer, or I didn't like the flavor/color and I gave to my sister. I think that it's pretty safe to say I've owned at least a thousand chapsticks. Added all up, if you consider that when I was in first grade they were $1 each and now they are at about $2 each, we'll average at 1.50 each that addds up to be over 1.5 thousand dollars!!! That's a whole semester of tuition right there all spent in chapsticks!!!! I am however extremely picky about which kind I use, it has to be Lip Smackers brand, and it has to be a good flavor and color, I can't stand lip glosses, and I hate the kind with sunscreen in it because it looses it's consistency, and mentholatum? hate it, sometimes even the Jello or starburst or skittles flavors are just to watery and I have to apply even more often. Today (or rather yesterday since it is 12:30 AM) I had the awesome opportunity to go to the St. George Temple for the very first time along with my ward. It was so beautiful! I, couldn't believe how small everything was, it took our group like 2-2 1/2 hours to go through, good thing we were the only ones. In the little waiting room, there wasn't an organist, church magazines, or even scriptures, only hymn books, so we decided to sing a-capella as many hymns as we could while waiting. It was such a good experience. I think if we were at Jordan River we would have been done in 1/2 hour, but it was so nice to just take it slow and enjoy it. The two temple workers were so pleased and said we were the best college group they've had in years. Then afterwards, our bishop took us all out for ice cream. It was so worth going even though I still have loads of homework.
I just registered for spring semester classes I'm taking US History, General Psych, Bioorganic Chemistry, English 2010, some library class, Ballet 1, and Asthanga Power Yoga. I'm going to have fun, it's a full load but I think I have a good mix.
Well, time for me to hit the books, I have a test in Wellness Dynamics, and an assignment due at 9:00Am and a Nutrition test at 1:00PM. And then there's always reviewing my notes in Pathophysiology and Microbiology but hey, who sleeps in college, not me!!!
